Step 3 – test the DynDNS con-
nection
Test whether router access ove
r the
DynDNS domain allocated by the
Dyn
DNS provider works:

Connect a computer to the local
network of the configured router.
It
must be able to establish a connec-
ti
on to the internet.

At your computer, open the pro-
gram r
un function [Windows

and + “R”].

In the line “open” enter the com-
mand “cmd” in order to open the
Windows prompt.

In the Windows prompt

command: nslookup [your domain
from the DynDNS p
rovider] (e.g.
nsloo
kup my_dynamic_domain_
name.dyndns.com).

Confirm your input wit
h the Enter
button.

If everything is in
order, you will

ive a confirmation n
otice in your
DynDNS domain and the currently
stored public
IP address appears.

Compare the displayed IP address
fro
m the confirmation notice with
the public IP address displayed on
the router ove
rview (start page).

If both IP addresses are identical,
the DynDNS con
nection is working.

Make a note of the public IP
address.

If you wish to check how long
it can take to update the IP address
wi
th your DynDNS provi
der, briefly
interrupt the connection be
tween
your DSL router and the internet

onnection. Repeat the process with
the connection test again at short
intervals in succession until a dif-
ferent IP address is displayed as the
result message.
Commission the Siedle app

Activate the Wi-Fi connection at
the mobile terminal and connect to
Mobile network connec-
tion
the local network.

Start the Siedle app.

Enter the local static IP
address
of the Gateway (e.g.
192.168.178.222).

Enter the login data of the IP user
connec
ted in the Gateway:
• User name of the IP us
er (e.g.
user0001).

Password of the IP user.

Confirm your inputs.

Carry out a complete function test
with the Siedle app.

The function test must be carried
out over the local Wi-Fi connection
and over the external mobile phone
data network.
