IMPORTANT:
Your safe is delivered with a Safety
Interlock Screw which must be
removed in order for you to lock your
safe. Failure to do so will
compromise the safety and security
of your safe.
First open the safe by turning the handle
clockwise and pulling the door open.
Locate the Safety Interlock Screw on the side of
the door; unscrew with a Phillips screwdriver,
remove and discard the screw.
Your safe can now be closed and locked. Do not
lock your instruction manual and/or keys in the
safe. You will need this manual for the
instructions on locking and unlocking the safe.

BATTERY
INSTALLATION
NOTE: The red reset button located on the
inside of the door, is covered with a removable
red cap. When you use the red reset button
while setting your own combination, remove
the cap to access the button.
Replace the cap securely over the reset button
after setting your combination. Failure to do
so will compromise the safety and security of
the safe.
You must first install the batteries which are
located in the front protective Styrofoam.
This safe uses 4 - AAA batteries. Under normal
use, batteries will last about 1 year.
NOTE: Do not mix old and new batteries.
Do not mix alkaline, standard or rechargeable
batteries.
NOTE: When changing or installing the
batteries, do not pull on the wires. Doing this
could cause the power supply to become
disconnected from the lock.
NOTE: If the batteries are low, the yellow light
will flash when you press the scanner.
To replace the batteries,
remove the lock faceplate
by pressing the tab and
turning the cover as shown
in the illustration.

Open the battery compartment located on the
back of the lock faceplate. See illustration below.
After batteries are installed, reattach the faceplate
by twisting it on in the opposite direction of the
illustration.
