Stages Power App
Stages Cycling provides an accompanying app to the power meter,
which can be used to perform firmware updates, perform a zero reset,
check battery life, and test power meter functionality. To learn more or
download the Stages Power app to your compatible mobile device, go

Firmware
Firmware is the programming that operates the power meter’s com-
puter. The power meter has been designed to allow wireless firmware
updates. Updated firmware may be developed and released by Stages
Cycling to provide added or improved functionality. Firmware updates
are sent to the power meter by way of the Stages Power app.
Troubleshooting
If power (watts) or cadence (RPM) signal is being received by your
compatible display unit when riding the bike, please confirm the fol

lowing items:
1.
Confirm that working AA batteries are properly installed in the
power meter according to
Battery Installation
steps 1-4
on
page 3.
2. Ride the bike with a pedaling cadence of greater than 20 RPM.
The power meter will not send cadence or wattage when being
turned by hand; once normal pedaling forces are applied, the de-
vice will begin broadcasting power and cadence.
3. Ensure that the power meter has been successfully paired to the
display unit according to the manufacturer’s specific instructions.
4.
Connect to the Stages Power app to confirm the power meter is
powered on and functional.
