4.1
Function
Application range
The isolating repeater is used for intrinsically safe operation of control valves,
l/P transformers or indicators. The device is suitable for the operation of intrinsically safe
HART field devices. The device can be operated both in the safe area and in Zone 2 /
Div 2. If used in Zone 2 / Div 2, it must be installed in a suitable enclosure.
Mode of operation
The device transmits a superimposed HART communication signal bidirectionally.
The device transmits a 0/4 ... 20 mA signal from the safe area to the hazardous area.
In addition, it transmits a superimposed HART communication signal bidirectionally.
The 9165/.6-11-11 variant has line fault monitoring with signal relay contacts.
Line fault monitoring can be activated or deactivated.
