Mounting / Dismounting, Operating Position
This device is suitable for outdoor and indoor use.
• Provide a protective roof or wall if the enclosure and explosion-protected electrical
equipment are used outdoors.
7.3
Installation
Electrical connection
• Please observe the information given in the "Technical data" chapter.
• The conductor must be connected carefully.
• The conductor insulation must reach the clamping units.
• Do not damage the conductor (nicking) when stripping it.
• Ensure that the maximum permissible conductor temperatures and the maximum
permissible surface temperature are not exceeded by selecting suitable electric lines
and means of running them.
• Always connect the protective conductor.
• The external protective conductor connection is designed for cable lugs.
• Run and fix the cable near the enclosure.
• All blank, non-live metal parts have to be included in the protective conductor system,
regardless of the rated operational voltage.
• Neutral conductors are considered live conductors and have to be installed
accordingly.
• Ensure that inactive metal parts are insulated in accordance with
EN 61439-1/ IEC 61641 and not connected to PE.
Information regarding the equipotential bonding (PA), earthing (PE) and
intrinsically-safe circuits is given in the documentation of the installed
devices.
For cable entries
(
M20 made of plastic special measures are required.
Please refer to the operating instructions of the cable entries for further
information.
