Motor Protection Circuit Breaker
Series 8146/5-V27
7.3.1 Electrical Connection
DANGER
Explosion hazard as a result of incorrectly installed components!
Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries.
• Ensure that the conductor insulation goes all the way
to the terminal points.
• Under no circumstances can the conductor be damaged
during stripping (e.g. by scoring).
• Select suitable conductors and install them so that the maximum
permitted conductor temperature and the maximum permitted
surface temperature are not exceeded.
• Install the conductors so that mechanical damage to the conductor
insulation due to rubbing against sharp edges or moving metal
parts is prevented.
• Only use suitable tools to fit the wire-end sleeves (if necessary).
• Always connect the protective conductor.
• Observe the tightening torque of the terminals.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock due to conducting metal parts located outside
the switch!
Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries.
• Only operate the switch with installed protection against
accidental contact!
WARNING
Risk of electric shock due to conducting metal parts if openings
are not completely sealed.
Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries.
• Avoid contact with conducting metal parts even if protection
against accidental contact is installed.
• To obtain the degree of protection IP20, mount a suitable covering
in addition to the protection against accidental contact.
WARNING
Risk of electric shock due to twisted cable lug connection!
Non-compliance can result in severe or fatal injuries.
• To avoid mechanical load and twisted cables intall the protection
against accidental contact.
• Only operate the switch with installed protection against
accidental contact or with a separate anti-twist protection!
