Bus-Carrier for linking device
Series 9419/0..-LD1-..E1

Engineering
6.1
Maximum permissible Ambient Temperatures (without Forced Ventilation)
Depending on the installation position, there is a maximum ambient temperature T
a
for
the output current I
out
of a fieldbus power supply.
For the different conditions of use, the maximum ambient temperature on the devices
must be determined using the respective diagram.
The current I
out
corresponds to the output current of a fieldbus power supply:
• During simplex operation, a segment is supplied with energy by a fieldbus power
supply and, therefore, the segment current corresponds to the output current I
out
of a
fieldbus power supply.
• During redundant operation, a segment is supplied jointly with power by two fieldbus
power supplies, which halve the load current of each module. Accordingly, in order to
determine the maximum permissible ambient temperature, only half the current
demand of the segment must be used in the diagrams for the current I
out
.
• For bus-Carrier Type 9419/0..-LD1-..E1 with a slot for a linking device, the maximum
ambient temperature T
a
is also limited to +55 °C for a vertical mounting orientation.
NOTICE
Failure of the devices installed in the cabinet caused by too high ambient temperature!
Non-compliance can result in material damage.
• Install and adjust the cabinet in such a way that it is always operated within the per
-
missible temperature range.
• Carefully observe the "Cabinet installation guide".
You can find detailed information about project engineering in the "Cabinet in
-
stallation guide" (download from www.stahl-ex.com, Product documentation,
subitem "Engineering").
