4.1
Function
Application range
Upon installation in a suitable enclosure, the 9475/32-04-.2 digital output module can
be used in gas and dust hazardous areas of Zones 1, 2, 21 and 22 or in safe areas.
The device may only be used in areas with a degree of pollution of 1 or 2
(IEC/EN 60664-1).
Mode of operation
The 9475/32-04-.2 digital output module is used to connect up to 4 intrinsically
safe magnetic valves, display or signal elements to the IS1+ Remote I/O system.
The additional Ex i "Plant STOP" control input safely switches off all outputs.
All channels are individually monitored for wire breakage and short-circuits.
This fulfills the functional safety requirements up to SIL 2 in accordance with IEC 61508.
The Ex i outputs are short-circuit proof, galvanically connected to each other and
galvanically separated from the system.
