4.9.1. Creating a Virtual Serial Port
The procedure for creating a virtual serial port varies depending on the model you are using and the
firmware version of the printer.
● For TSP100ECO (firmware version 2.0 or later) and TSP100GT (firmware version 2.0 or later)
(1) Click “Add Port”.
(2) The following window appears.
Enter a virtual serial port name, and select whether to stop or continue printing after an error
has occurred. Then, click “OK”.
■ Virtual Serial Port Name
Enter the name of the output destination port of the currently used POS application.
(Example: If the output destination port is named COM3, enter ‘COM3’.)
■ Error Action
If "Continuous printing" is selected, data will be held when a recoverable error such as paper out has
occurred in a virtual serial port to be added. When the port is recovered from an error in the
specified time-out period, a print job will be continued from the position where printing has been
interrupted.
If "Stop printing" is selected, a print job that was running at the time the error occurred will be
ignored.
(3) Click “Apply Changes” to complete the creation of a virtual serial port.
Notes:
Multiple virtual serial ports can be created, but it is not recommended.
This function is provided to hold the downward compatibility.
