4.9.2. Configuring the Port Emulator Service
By default, the port emulator service is disabled. To use the port emulator, the service must be set to either
manual or automatic operation. Automatic is the most common usage as it will start each time the system is
booted. Manual operation requires that the service be started manually before it can be used. When stopping
the service, make sure any applications that may be using any virtual serial ports are closed. Neglecting to do
so may cause errors when starting the service again.

4.9.3. Removing a Virtual Serial Port
Click “Delete Port” with the specific port selected to remove it from your system, then click “Apply Changes”
to complete the process.
4.9.4. Check Health
Click the “Check Health” to perform the port check. This function ensures the opening and the working of the
specified port.
4.9.5. SDK

oftware development kit (SDK) is provided to help you install a virtual serial port.
Click "SDK" in "Documents/SDK" of the “CD auto” menu to open the folder where to store the SDK.
