Stations that are busy, unattended, or in DND can be left a
message indication by other stations in the system. Up to five
messages can be left at one keyset. Upon return to the station,
the user can press the flashing MSG WAIT button to ring each
party in sequential order. 8-button phones use code 623 to
assign a MESSAGE WAITING button.
To leave a message waiting indication:
If you dial a station that is busy, unattended, or in DND, you can
leave a message waiting indication.
1.
Lift handset or press ON/OFF button.
2.
Dial the desired intercom station.
3.
Press the MSG button. A confirmation tone sounds. Called
party's MSG button slow flashes.
4.
Replace the handset or press the ON/OFF button to end the
call.
To answer a message waiting indication:
If your MSG button is lit, you have a message waiting for you.
The first message left is the first one called.
1.
Press MSG. Station that left message is signaled with tone
ringing.
2.
If called station does not answer, press MSG once to leave
message.
Up to five messages can be left at any Station.
