Station - Ad Hoc mode
Both Station - Ad Hoc and Station - Infrastructure mode let your WAP1011BB act like a
wireless adapter for your wired PC. Station - Ad Hoc mode lets you join your
WAP1011BB to a a wireless LAN with peer-to-peer communication.
When you are satisfied with your Ad Hoc settings, click Apply.

Description
Mode
The mode field shows that the WAP is Station - Ad Hoc mode.
Alias Name
You can change the alias name of the WAP1011BB.
ESSID
You can change the ESSID (up to 31 printable ASCII characters)
for your WAP. Remember, in order for your wireless clients to
associate with each other, they must have the same ESSID.
Channel Number
You can change the channel the WAP is using. Remember, in
order for your wireless clients to associate with each other, they
must have the same channel. Whenever you change the
channel on the WAP, make sure that the channel numbers on
your other devices are also changed.
Site Survey
Click the Select Site Survey button to view the Wireless Site
Survey table. This table gives you a list of all available access
points in your area. You can then select an access point to
associate with. The table gives you information on the SSID,
BSSID, channel, type, encryption, and signal of each access
point.
