The CO
2
air quality sensor described below
measures the concentration of carbon dioxide
(CO
2
) in room air by means of an optical two-
channel measurement system.
The CO
2
air quality sensor uses an LED "traffic
light" display (green, amber, red) to indicate
when the quality of room air rises above or
falls below internally selected threshold values.
In addition, 3 beeps each lasting 1s sound
when changing from green to amber, and a
continuous audible signal lasting 5s sounds
when changing from amber to red.
When room air is fresh, you can compensate
for the effect of atmospheric pressure (weather
and / or altitude above sea level) simply by
pressing a button.
However, the air quality sensor is not intended
for use as a measuring device or as part of a
gas warning or other safety system. The sen-
sor is designed for operation in dry rooms at a
temperature of 5°C to +40°C and is protected
against medium-sized solid bodies by an IP20
rated enclosure for "surface" mounting.
All work, such as assembly work, installation
and testing, must be carried out by skilled per-
sonnel.
How it works
Locally applicable assembly and installation
provisions, guidelines and regulations must be
observed. In particular, this applies to:
■
VDE guidelines and regulations,
e.g. DIN VDE 0100
■
Guidelines and regulations issued by the in-
dustrial employers' liability insurance associ-
ations, e.g. accident prevention regulations
for electrical installations.
No liability can be accepted for improper appli-
cation, assembly and installation or for the use
of non-genuine accessory parts!
