Chapter 5: Maximizing Key Contact Performance
2. Using your hand, press the right bank of keys on the keyboard
slightly about halfway so that they are not all the way up or all
the way down. This makes it easier to turn the depth of stroke
wheel.
3. Do one of the following:
•
To shorten the depth of the keystroke—
turn the red wheel
downward, towards the bottom of the Cybra. If you reach
the shortest stroke, the wheel no longer advances.
•
To lengthen the depth of the keystroke—
move the red wheel
upward, towards the top of the Cybra. If you reach the
longest stroke, the wheel no longer advances.
4. Write with your élan Cybra and then check your key contacts
for possible adjustments. See “Adjusting Key Contacts” in this
chapter.
