B. Maintenance and storage
• Keep all nuts, bolts, and screws tight to be sure the appliance is in safe working condition.
• Check the grass catcher frequently for wear or deterioration.
• Replace worn or damaged parts for safety.
• For cylinder mowers, be careful during adjustment of the appliance to prevent the fingers
from getting trapped between moving blades and fi xed parts of the appliance.
• For rotary mowers, ensure that only replacement cutting systems of the right type are used
• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or
similarly qualified persons in order to avoid a hazard.
• Replacewornordamagedpartsforsafety.Useonlygenuinereplacementpartsandaccessories.
• When servicing the blades be aware that, even though the power source is switched off, the
blades can still be moved.
• Only use approved cables. Extensions cables should be only used if they comply with H05VV-F,
H05RN-F types or IEC type (60227 IEC53, 60245 IEC57). If you want to use an extension cable
when operating your product, only the following cable dimensions should be used:
– 1.0mm²: max length 40m
– 1.5mm²: max length 60mm
– 2.5mm² max length 100m
• Caution: an inadequate extension cable can be dangerous and can cause accidents. Please
contact a qualifi ed electrician for advice if in any doubt.
• The extension cable, plug and socket must be watertight and intended for outdoor use.
• Always allow the machine to cool down before storing
• When you want to store the tool:
- Loose the quick release lock system on handles
- Fold the handles as shown in the illustration
- Store it.
