Trouble Shooting Guide
Problem Possible
Cause Explanation/Solution
Battery not connected
Connect the main battery to the
electronics box (page 4)
Safety switch is off
Turn the switch on. The Safety Switch
is located on the rear cover (page 5)
Transmitter battery is
flat
Replace the 9V battery (page 6)
The main battery is flat
Allow the charger to complete an entire
cycle (page 13/14)
The X3R is not
responding to button
presses
You may be out or
range
The X3R has a range of 50m, but the
range can also be affected by
numerous other factors.
I can hear the motors
working but the trolley
is not moving
Rear wheels may be in
freewheel mode
Use the quick release mechanism to
take the rear wheels off freewheel
(page 9)
I find it difficult to push
my X3R
Freewheel mode is not
engaged
Use the quick release mechanism to
put the rear wheels onto freewheel
mode (page 9)
My X3R occasionally
starts without me
pressing a button
Strong interference
The X3R may sometimes react to
interference, however the electronics
will recognise this and quickly stop the
X3R.
I have lost my X3R
handset
Please contact Stewart Golf and we
can arrange for a replacement. There
may be a charge for this service.
The X3R moves in
circles when pressing
the forwards button
One wheel engaged,
one in freewheel mode
Ensure that both wheels are not in the
freewheel position (page 9).
The X3R does not
travel in a straight line
even on flat ground
Motors have become
imbalanced
Follow the ‘trim adjustment’ instructions
on page 8
