7.8. Splitting and hiding the wheel weight
This function can be used to hide the wheel weight behind two spokes by splitting it in two. This function can be
used with the ALU-S balancing mode.
Follow the instructions in chapter 7.7. If the outer wheel weight doesn’t happen to be behind the spoke, the user
can change its position by following these instructions.
Press the [FUNC] key, which will light up the SPLIT indicator (16, Fig 3) and a window will pop up, in which the
user can input the amount of spokes. Press [b+] or [b-] to input the amount of spokes, and press the [FUNC] key.
Rotate the wheel slowly until a spoke points directly up. Press the [FUNC] key. Rotate the wheel slowly again and
find both positions of imbalance with the help of the indicators. Attach half of the wheel weight that has been split
in two equal pieces to both positions of imbalance. Spin the wheel fast to balance it. If the wheel is balanced, the
split and hide function has been successful.
7.9. Recalculation
Before balancing the wheel the user may forget to input the rim’s data. The information can be input to the
machine after the balancing rotation. This way the user can avoid doing the rotation again. Press the [SET] key so
that the machine can calculate the imbalance with the new data. If you press the [SET] key while in the imbalance
amount interface, you can check the data that has been input to the machine.
