1.
The engine will not start
or will not keep running.
Incorrect starting procedure.
Follow the instructions (see chapter 6.3).
No oil or fuel in the engine.
Check the oil and petrol levels.
Dirty spark plug or incorrect
distance between the electrodes.
Check the spark plug (Consult
the engine manual).
Air filter clogged.
Clean and/or replace the filter
(Consult the engine manual).
Carburetion problems.
Contact the authorised service centre.
The lawnmower's fuel tank
was not emptied at the end
of the previous season
The float may be blocked.
Consult the engine manual and contact
the authorised service centre.

The engine runs
irregularly, lacks power
when revved or cuts
out whilst working.
Air filter clogged.
Clean and/or replace the filter
(Consult the engine manual).
Dirty spark plug or incorrect
distance between the electrodes.
Check the spark plug (Consult
the engine manual).
Carburetion problems.
Contact the authorised service centre.

If the engine floods.
The manual starter handgrip
has been used repeatedly
with the starter inserted.
Check the engine manual.

the spark plug cap removed.
Insert the spark plug cap and
try to start the engine.
(Check the engine manual).
4.
The cut grass is
not collected in the
grass catcher.
The cutting means has collided with a
foreign object and received a knock.
Turn off the engine and disconnect
the spark plug cap.
Inspect for damage and contact a Technical
service centre for the replacement of the
cutting means if necessary (par. 8.1).
The inside of the chassis is dirty.
Clean the inside of the chassis to
ease the grass discharge towards
the grass catcher (par. 7.4.2).
5.
Mowing is difficult.
The cutting means is not
in good condition
Contact a Technical service centre
for the sharpening or replacement
of the cutting means.
6.
Excessive noise and/or
vibration is experienced
whilst working.
Damaged or loose parts.
The pin on the cutting means
has slipped out of its seat.
Stop the machine and disconnect
the spark plug cable ((Fig.21.0).
Inspect for damage.
Check for and tighten any loose parts.
Have all checks, repair work and replacements
carried out by an Authorised Centre only.
Cutting means fittings are loose or
the cutting means is damaged.
Turn off the engine and disconnect
the spark plug cap (Fig.21.0).
Contact an authorised Technical
Assistance Centre for checks,
replacements or repairs (par. 8.1).

15.1
"MULCHING" KIT
It cuts the grass cuttings finely and leaves them on
the lawn, instead of collecting them in the grass
catcher (for compatible machines) (Fig.22.0).
