► Place the filing gauge on the chain – the high‐
est point of the depth gauge must be level with
the filing gauge.
► After sharpening, clean the chain thoroughly,
remove filings or grinding dust – lubricate the
chain thoroughly.
► Before a long out-of-service period, clean the
chain and store it in a well-oiled condition.
