Recharging the battery, specific for
batteries with electrolyte recircula-
tion system
CAUTION
The battery is recharged with the forklift off.
DANGER
The battery must be charged in rooms that comply
with the specific regulations on the subject. Refer
to the battery and battery charger manuals to
see the charging procedures, level checks etc,
checking the type of battery (gel, lead etc) and
making sure of the voltage and current delivered.
Excessive currents can damage batteries and
cause dangerous situations. As far as the safety
precautions are concerned, follow the instructions
given in the battery manual and those included in
"Safety regulations "of this manual.
Access the upper part of the battery as de-
scribed in the "Internal accessibility" para-
graph.
Remove the battery caps (if indicated in the
battery maintenance booklet).
CAUTION
The battery socket (A) is not suitable for the plug of
the external battery charger for batteries electrolyte
recirculation.
Do not connect the battery socket (A ) to the battery
charger to begin charging.
Disconnect the plug (C) from the socket (B).
Connect the socket (B) to the battery charger
to begin charging.
Turn on the external battery charger.
After the battery charging operation is com-
pleted, turn off the battery charger.
Unplug the socket (B) from the battery
charger.
Replace the battery caps (if removed previ-
ously).
Plug the battery (C) into the socket (B) again.
Lower the battery compartment cover.
