Changing the fork arms
DANGER
There is a risk of being run over if the truck rolls
away, and therefore a danger to life.
– Do not park the truck on a gradient.
– Apply the parking brake.
– Change the fork arms in a separate, safe location
on a level surface.
WARNING
There is a risk of injury when changing the fork
arms; the fork arms’ weight could cause them to fall
on your legs, feet or knees. The space to the left
and right of the fork is a danger area.
– Always wear protective gloves and safety
footwear when changing the fork arms.
– Ensure that no one stands in the danger area!
– Do not pull on the fork arms.
– The fork arms must always be carried by two
people; if necessary, use a hoist.
NOTE
•
For installation and removal, a transport
pallet is recommended for supporting
the fork arms. The pallet size depends
on the fork arm size used and should be
dimensioned such that the fork arms do not
protrude after being placed on the pallet.
This means the fork arms can be safely
placed down and transported.
•
Both fork arms can be pushed over onto one
side.
