Driving on ascending and descending gradients car-
ries special dangers!

Always follow the instructions below.
–
On ascending and descending gradients,
the load must be carried facing uphill.
–
It is only permitted to drive on ascending
and descending gradients that are marked
as traffic routes and that can be used safe-
ly.
–
Ensure that the ground to be traversed is
clean and provides a good grip.
–
Do not turn on ascending and descending
gradients.
–
Do not drive onto or along ascending and
descending gradients at an angle.
–
Do not park the truck on ascending or de-
scending gradients.
–
In case of emergency, secure the truck with
wedges so that the truck does not roll away.
–
Reduce the driving speed on descending
gradients.
It is not permitted to drive on long ascending
and descending gradients greater than 15%
due to the specified minimum braking and sta-
bility values.
–
Before driving on ascending and descend-
ing gradients greater than 15%, consult the
authorised service centre.
The process of placing loads into stock and
removing loads from stock while on an as-
cending or descending gradient is not permit-
ted!
–
Always place loads into stock and remove
loads from stock on a horizontal plane.
