Uncoupling the trailer
–
Take measures to prevent the trailer from
rolling away, e.g. use wheel chocks.
–
Push the coupling pin (2) down, turn 90°
and pull out.
–
Slowly move the truck forwards and guide
the tow-bar eye completely out of the coun-
terweight.
–
Insert the coupling pin into the counter-
weight, press downwards against the spring
pressure and turn 90° (the coupling pin is
locked in this position).
Automatic tow coupling
DANGER
Persons may become trapped between the truck
and trailer.
When hooking up, ensure that no one is between the
truck and trailer.
DANGER
Never jack up or crane load the truck on the tow
coupling. The tow coupling is not designed for this
and could be deformed or destroyed. The truck
could fall off, with potentially fatal consequences!
–
Use the tow coupling only for towing.
–
For jacking up and crane loading, use only the
designated lifting points.
DANGER
The tow coupling is not designed for support loads
and could be deformed or destroyed. This could
cause the supported load to fall, with potentially fa-
tal consequences!
–
The tow coupling should be subjected only to hori-
zontal loads, i.e. the tiller must be horizontal.
