– Make sure that the safety hook (1) engages

in the gap of the holder (2).

Closing the service ﬂap

CAUTION

Limbs can become trapped when closing the

service ﬂap — risk of crushing!
When you close the service ﬂap, there must be

nothing between the service ﬂap and the edge of

the frame.
– Do not grasp any edges. Always close the

battery cover by grasping one of the handles

in each hand.

– Carefully close the service ﬂap.
– Only close the service ﬂap if there are no parts of

the body in the way.

– To close the service ﬂap, take hold of the

handles (2) and (4) at the same time and

pull down ﬁrmly.

– Make sure that the service ﬂap lock en-

gages when you close it.

– Lock (3) the service ﬂap using the key.
– Lock the quick release clamp (1) with a 1/4

turn in an anti-clockwise direction.

NOTE

The service ﬂap is only correctly locked if the

top section of the handle (4) closes ﬂush with

the cover.

NOTE

To determine the oil level exactly, the truck

must be horizontal when checking.

– Ensure that the truck is parked in a horizon-

tal position.

– Open the bonnet.
