Instructions
First use
• The control for regulating the temperature in the refrigerator compartment is located
on the upper right hand side of the compartment (see Fig.3, below). The higher the
number on the dial, the colder the temperature in the refrigerator compartment.
• The first time you turn the refrigerator on, check the thermostat to ensure it is
set to “4” and leave it at this position for 20 minutes. After this time, adjust the
temperature control setting as per the thermostat setting guide below.
• To turn the refrigerator off, turn the thermostat to the “O” position, which will stop
the cooling cycle, then disconnect the power supply cord from the wall outlet in
order to shut off power to the unit.
NOTE: The unit may not work at the set temperature on particularly hot days, or if the
door is opened too frequently.
To ensure efficient operation, do not open
the door unnecessarily or for prolonged periods of time.
If the refrigerator is unplugged, turned off or has lost power, you must wait
3 to 5 minutes before restarting the unit. If you attempt to restart before this
time delay, the refrigerator will not start.
Thermostat settings
Thermostat “O” position indicates the refrigerator is turned off
although power is still being supplied. By turning the thermostat
dial clockwise, the refrigerator will turn on automatically. The
settings 1 (MIN) to 7 (MAX) regulate the interior temperature of
the refrigerator.
• Setting O = Off (not operating)
• Setting 1 (MIN) = lowest setting (warmest internal temperature)
• Setting 7 (MAX) = highest setting (coldest internal temperature)
Adjust the internal temperature as required according to the quantity of food you have
inside the compartment and the ambient temperature.
As a guide, set the thermostat as follows in the different seasons:
• Winter:
Setting 1-2
• Spring and Autumn:
Setting 2-4
• Summer:
Setting 4-6
The internal temperature varies in different parts of the refrigerator. The back of the
refrigerator is the coldest area.
