Electrical Connection
The connection to the electricity supply must be made by a licensed
electrician and following the regulations in force.
Before connecting the cooktop to the mains power supply, check and ensure
that:
• The domestic wiring system is suitable for the power drawn by the cooktop.
• The voltage corresponds to the value given on the appliance rating plate.
• The power supply cable sections can withstand the load specified on the
rating plate.
Installation (Cont.)
• If the cable is damaged or needs to be replaced, the operation must be
carried out by an authorised technician with dedicated tools to avoid any
accidents.
• If the appliance is not fitted with a mains power lead, a power lead
resistant to a temperature of at least 90
°
C must be used, otherwise the
electrical safety of the appliance may be put at risk.
• The power cable must not be bent or compressed.
• The cable must be checked regularly and replaced by an authorised
technician only.
• WARNING
: This appliance must be earthed.
• IMPORTANT:
The appliance must NOT be connected to the mains supply
by means of a 13A plug and socket.
• This appliance must be wired into a 30A double pole switched fused spur
outlet, having 3mm contact separation and placed in an easily accessible
position adjacent to the appliance. It should not be located above the
appliance and no more than 1.25m away from it.
• The cable can be looped if necessary, but make sure that is not kinked or
trapped when the cooktop is in position. Care must be taken to avoid the
cable being in contact with hot parts of the appliance.

with an electrician whether the domestic wiring system is suitable without
alterations. Any alterations must only be made by a qualified electrician.
