WARNING:
READ AND UNDERSTAND ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND
WARNINGS ON THIS SHEET AS WELL AS THE IN-
STRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS IN YOUR GRILL OP-
ERATOR’S MANUAL BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT.
Failure to follow all instructions and heed all warnings may
result in electric shock, fire and/or serious personal injury.
The two-sided design of the cast iron Mega Griddle features
a flat griddle side and a half-grate, half-griddle side. A chrome
plated steel tray is included for lifting and moving the griddle.
The Mega Griddle fits 22-1/2 in. ST
Ō
K grills, and most other
22-1/2 in. kettle-style grills.
Follow all instructions in your grill Operator’s Manual as well
as the instructions provided on this sheet when using the
Mega Griddle.
USING THE MEGA GRIDDLE
See Figures 1 - 2
.
WARNING:
The mega griddle may be heavy for some operators.
Use caution when placing or removing the griddle from the
grill to prevent serious personal injury.
Do not remove the existing cast iron grate and insert unless
the grill is completely cool.
When using a charcoal grill, light the charcoal, following
manufacturer’s instructions, and wait for flames to go out
before installation.
Before placing the Mega Griddle onto the firebox, select
the combination side or the griddle only.
WARNING:
After placing the mega griddle onto the grill, do not
remove the griddle and change to the other side until it
is completely cool. Failure to heed this warning may result
in serious personal injury.
Using heat-resistant oven mitts, set the wire tray and Mega
Griddle into the grill firebox. The handles will slide off the
sides of the griddle and out of the way, if desired.
Allow the Mega Griddle to cool completely before using the
wire handles to remove it from the grill.
CLEANING THE MEGA GRIDDLE
Allow the griddle to cool completely.
Remove the griddle from the grill and clean using a stiff
nylon brush and hot water. For best results, the use of
soap is not recommended. Do not clean in dishwasher.
Dry thoroughly and apply a light coating of oil to the entire
surface area of the griddle. Do not allow the griddle to air
dry, as this can allow rust to form.
If food begins to stick to the surface or rust spots are
beginning to form, re-season your cast iron cookware as
required. Visit
www.stokgrills.com for more information.
When not in use, store the griddle in an enclosed area where
it will not be exposed to the elements.
