Saving the Initial Configuration for Sensors and Analyzers

Right-click the Sensor or Analyzer element and select
Save Initial Configuration
. The Initial
Configuration dialog opens.
To prepare for configuration using the Configuration Wizard
1.
(
Optional
) If you plan to enter the information manually, write down or copy the
Management SSL Fingerprint
. Using the fingerprint increases the security of the
communications when the engine contacts the Management Server.
2.
If you plan to enter the information manually, write down or copy the
One-Time Generated
Password
for each engine. Keep track of which password belongs to which node.
3.
(
Optional
) If you plan to import the configuration in the Configuration Wizard, you can
Enable
SSH Daemon
and select the
Local Time Zone
and
Keyboard Layout
.
4.
(Sensors only)
Click
Select
and select the appropriate policy if you already have a policy you
want to use. The selected policy is automatically installed after the Sensor has contacted
the Management Server. See
(page 55) for descriptions of the
available pre-defined policies.
5.
If you plan to import the configuration in the Configuration Wizard, click
Save As
and save
the configuration on a USB memory stick.
6.
Click
Close
.
