Cleaning the spray device
Only use water-based materials and solvent-based materials featuring a flash point over 38°C; do not use materi-
als that feature "FLAMMABLE" anywhere on their package. For more information about the material, please ask the
manufacturer concerning the corresponding material datasheet. Spraying certain materials may produce static electri-
city that could place the user at risk of electric shock. In case this happens, determine whether the material possesses
a flash point above 38°C and that the packaging does not feature the warning "FLAMMABLE" on it anywhere. In case
electric shock is produced nevertheless, then the material likely contains non-mineral paint fluids such as Xylol, Toluol,
or Naphtha which may also develop a static charge. Switch to an alternative material; the spray area must be well-
ventilated at all times. The spray area should always be supplied with sufficient fresh air.
Processing of solvent-based coating materials with the battery powered airless PowerCoat spray gun.
When cleaning the device after processing solvent-based coating materials, please note the following:
1. During cleaning:
- Always avoid „aggressive“ solvents such as Nitro or 2K thinner.
- Use „softer“ solvents such as turpentine.
2. After cleaning:
Avoid thinner residue after cleaning the device and always a) flush first with warm soap water, b) then with water,
c) then with corrosion protection (Art. no. 69 09 10) and water.
Additionally make sure that you follow the instructions in the operating manual!
1. Activate the trigger safety lock and place the ventila-
tion/discharge valve in the upwards position to discharge
the pressure.
2. Remove the material hopper and dispose of the insert
or excess material correctly.
3. When rinsing the spray device, always remove and cle-
an the intake pipe and the sieve with water (or a compa-
tible solvent) and a brush. Replace the intake pipe after
this.
4. In case an insert has not been used, clean the hopper
and fill it with water or a suitable solvent.
5. Reattach the material hopper and shake the spray
device to distribute clean water around the hopper and
clean all areas.
6. Release the trigger lock and activate the spray device
for approx. 15 seconds. Engage the trigger safety lock.
