DO NOT OPERATE THE SANDER UNTIL YOU HAVE
READ THE ENTIRE INSTRUCTION MANUAL.
Attaching the Sanding Media
1. Unplug the device.
2. Remove the worn sanding disc from the hook-and-
loop sanding pad, which remains at its position.
3. Carefully centre-align the new sanding disc and
press it down. It will be held securely by the hook-
and-loop sanding pad.
Replacing the Hook-and-Loop Sanding Pad
The hook-and-loop sanding pad must be absolutely even
in order to achieve good sanding results. Deformed or
damaged pads will do an uneven sanding job. Always
replace damaged pads. The pad has a hook-and-loop
film on both sides; to replace the hook-and-loop film,
remove the entire pad and replace it with a new hook-
and-loop sanding pad.
Replacing the Brush Collar at the Edge of the San-
ding Head
The brush collar at the edge of the sanding pad ser-
ves two purposes: it keeps the sanding disc properly
aligned with the work surface, thereby preventing the
formation of grooves, and it supports the dust suction
with the vacuum cleaner. This brush collar will wear
with continuous use. When the brush collar is worn
the entire sanding plate cover must be replaced to
ensure effective dust suction and stabilisation of the
sanding pad.
8. The sander is designed for specific purposes. The
manufacturer expressly recommends not to modify
this power tool and/or not to use it any way except
for the intended purpose. If you have any questions
concerning the purpose, do NOT USE the tool until
you have consulted the manufacturer.
9. Use the machine with both hands at all times.
Loss of control can cause personal injury.
10. Keep the power cord away from the tool operating
range. Always lead the cable away behind you.
11. Immediately switch off the device if unusual vi-
brations or other malfunctions occur. Check the
device in order to find out the cause.
12. The dust generated when working with this tool
can be harmful to health. Always use a vacuum
cleaner and a suitable dust mask, and remove
accumulated dust with a vacuum cleaner.
DESCRIPTION OF FUNCTIONS
The wall and ceiling sander is especially designed for
efficient sanding of wall and ceiling surfaces in new and
renovated buildings. Moreover, it is designed for use
with a vacuum cleaner for minimum dust generation
and optimum sanding results. The pivoting sanding
head enables excellent results with minimum time
and effort.
Electrical Connection
The mains voltage must be 230 V/50 Hz. The sander
must not be used if the power cord is damaged. A
damaged power cord must be replaced immediately
by an authorised customer service centre. Do not try
to repair the damaged power cord yourself. Use of
damaged power cords can lead to electric shock.
UNPACKING
Carefully take out the tool and all loose items from
the shipping carton.
Retain all packing materials after you have inspected
the tool.
