5 FUEL SYSTEM
The fuel system is connected to 2 wing tanks. In normal operating conditions, an AC pump located
on the left of the engine in an advance position supplies fuel to the carburetors. From the wings the
fuel go to a little tank installed in the upper side of the firewall inside the cabin from here to the
shut-off valve in the FW center consol with two positions: open/closed ; then to the gascolator filter
located in the lower left part of fuselage on the firewall. The gascolator also has a bleeding. The
fuel flows then from the gascolator to the electric pump controlled by the pilot, located on top of it,
then to the mechanical pump driven by the engine and then to the switch. From the switch, located
on the upper part of the circuit, the fuel reaches the carburetors. Some of this fuel starts the fuel
pressure gauge up, and the exceeding part flows back through the top of the wing tanks . Should
one of these pumps fail, feed is guaranteed by the other one. We suggest you to operate the
electric pump during take-off and landing.
In the switch fuel return line, there is installed a Jet with 1mm hole : clean each 300 hours.
NOTE : we suggest you to keep tank always full so as to avoid humidity condensation
inside. Always fill with previously filtered and clean fuel.
