GAS BOTTLE REPLACEMENT
1. The gas cylinder must not be replaced near an open flame.
2. Smoking must not be allowed in the vicinity of the gas cylinder.
3. Before replacement, close the gas bottle valve and remove the empty bottle from the appliance. Make
sure the patio heater is off.
4. Disconnect the regulator from the empty bottle.
5. Follow the procedure described in the chapter “Connecting the gas cylinder” and connect the gas
cylinder.
GAS LEAK
- If you smell gas it may be a gas leak. Immediately close the gas valve on the gas cylinder and switch off
the patio heater. Extinguish any open flames and switch off electrical appliances near the heater.
- The terrace heater must be checked and repaired if necessary before re-use.
- If you are unable to identify and rectify the cause of the gas leak, contact an authorized service center.
- If gas leaks even after closing the valve on the gas cylinder, move the gas cylinder to an open, well-
ventilated area and consult the gas supplier.
WARNINGS
- It is very important to check all connections properly for tightness and no leakage. Do not use matches to
look for a possible gas leak. Use only soapy water. In case you have any difficulty connecting or replacing
the bottle, we recommend contacting an authorized service center.
- The gas cylinder must always be upright during operation. Using a horizontal gas cylinder can damage the
heater or cause other serious consequences.
- After connecting a newly filled bottle, the ignition may be weak due to the presence of inert gas in the
bottle. In this case, replace the bottle with another, partially used one.
- The device must be used with the appropriate gas regulator and line, in case of doubt contact the gas
supplier.
- When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight smoke. This phenomenon is quite normal
and will stop after a short time. The heater is made of stainless steel, which is coated with a layer of
protective oil. Smoke is caused by oil evaporating during operation.
IGNITION
1.
Open the valve on the gas cylinder
2.
Press and turn the flow regulator to the
"PILOT" position
3.
Press and hold the flow regulator for about 30
seconds. Then press the piezoelectric ignition
several times to ignite the patio heater. After
20-30 seconds from the ignition of the heater,
you can release the flow regulator. It is possible
to check whether the burner has ignited
through the sight glass located on the burner
base.
4.
Set the flow controller to the minimum
position "LO". Let the device work for at least 5
minutes. You can then set the desired power.
5.
If the burner goes out spontaneously or if the
burner flame goes out by blowing in the wind,
switch off the appliance, wait at least 5
minutes and switch it on again (follow steps 2-
4).
