Intended use
The clutch is used to connect and disconnect a torque transmission. It is an incomplete machine that must be
connected to other incomplete machines and/or components in order to fulfil its function.
The particular intended areas of application are machine tools, textile, construction and packing machines.
According to the design of the multi-discs, application in wet as well as dry operation is possible.
The clutch must only be used under the following conditions:
• for use in industrial areas only.
2.3.1
Power supply
The clutch must only be operated on direct current.
The electrical connection occurs via carbon brushes in dry operation and in wet operation via bronze fabric
brushes on the slip rings.
In both cases, the electrical connection is the responsibility of the operator and must comply with the local safety
regulations.
2.3.2
Torque transmission
The torque transmission occurs at the following interfaces:
• screw, pin and fitting key joints in the components involved in the power flux.
