7 Operation
7.1
Special safety guidelines
CAUTION
Risk of accidents due to non-observance of the safety guidelines
There is a risk of accidents if the general safety guidelines are not observed.
► All safety guidelines must be observed, see section 2.
DANGER
Danger of accidents due to explosive atmosphere
In cases of improper use, or operation outside of specified requirements, explosion may be caused by
hot surfaces, static charge, and/or mechanical sparks.
► Assembly work may not be performed in an explosive atmosphere.
7.2
Initial commissioning
Carry out control
measures
1. Concentric run of the slip rings (max. = 0,1 mm)
2. If necessary, grind in carbon brushes, see section 8.4.5.
3. Check brush voltage: This must correspond to the nominal voltage specified in the techni-
cal data with a tolerance according to DIN IEC 60038, see section 2.5 and section 4.4.
4. Check the outer body for free movement in the rotation direction.
The outer body must be able to move freely in the rotation direction and must not come
into contact with the armature plate or adjusting nut.
Removal of the
laminated pro-
tective foil
The product designation for some components is done through the laminated protective label.
These labels consist of a self-adhesive polyester foil, for which the print image is protected
from external effects by a transparent foil. As the products are partially laminated only after
the designation, the labels are equipped with a second, lightly removable laminated protec-
tive foil. This can be easily removed after lamination using a handy tap. If the laminated pro-
tective foil is not removed, it automatically comes away after 1 to 2 years, as it is not equip-
ped with a long-lasting glue.
NOTICE
Damage to the surrounding construction due to failure to remove laminated
protective foil
The laminated protective foil can detach and lead to the following damage to the surrounding
construction, when not removed.
► Detach the laminated protective foil using the handy tap.
1. Detach the laminated protective foil (if present) using the handy tap.
7.3
Duty cycle, switching frequency and switching times
The clutch is suited for 24-hour continuous operation, provided the permissible thresholds were observed in the
design. To ensure a trouble-free operation, the technical specifications must be adhered to, see section 4.
Switching breaks are not required when the construction of the clutch has been carried out correctly.
7.4
Temporary decommissioning
No specific measures are necessary for temporary decommissioning.
