Monitoring the Load on the
Cutting Motor
The front panel includes a three-col-
oured LED-bar, indicating the load on
the cutting motor.
In automatic cutting mode the LED-
bar will show the load on the cutting
motor and if the red area is reached
the feed speed will be reduced. When
cutting manually the LED-bar gives a
good indication of how much force to
put on the workpiece.
Corrosion resistant Cutting Chamber
The cutting chamber, made of cor-
rosion resistant materials, is provid-
ed with a 225 mm x 386 mm (8.6" x
15.2") cutting table, which is easily
moved up to 200 mm (7.9") by con-
trol keys. The cutting table is made
of corrosion resistant cast alumin-
ium and is fitted with a top surface
The adjustable cutting table enables
parallel sectioning
of stainless steel bands. These steel
bands are easily exchanged if dam-
aged or worn.
A flush hose makes daily cleaning
quick and efficient, and a powerful
lamp lights up the cutting chamber
allowing you to monitor the cutting
process through the large window in
the protection guard. An exhaust sys-
tem may be connected.
Quick and Handy Clamping
of the Workpiece
The integrated cutting table has six
10 mm T-slots, facilitating the use
of universal clamping tools.
Adding an Adjustable Cutting
Table for Parallel Sectioning
An adjustable cutting table is availa-
ble for mounting on the
Discotom-6. It positions the work-
piece at a right angle to the cut-off
wheel, allowing parallel sections to
be cut. The table can move up to 60
mm (2.4").

Quick-clamping devices enable easy and fast securing
of workpieces
For irregulary shaped workpieces the vertical clamping
tools are employed
High Safety Level
Discotom-6 cannot be started while
the protection guard is open. Dur-
ing cutting the protection guard is
locked, eliminating any risk of injury.
A built-in electric, dynamic motor
brake stops the cutting motor with-
in a few seconds, ensuring quick ac-
cess to the cutting chamber after cut-
ting.
