13. TROUBLESHOOTING
Problem
Cause
Remedy
System does not switch on
Water is not connected
Connect the system to the drinking
water mains and turn on the tap.
Insufficient water pressure
Make sure the inlet water pressure
is at least 1 bar.
Transformer is not connected
Insert the transformer plug into a
live socket.
Pressure tank is full
The system can only start up again
when the pressure tank is roughly
half empty.
Faulty transformer
Replace transformer.
Faulty solenoid valve
Replace solenoid valve.
Faulty intake pressure switch
Replace intake pressure switch.
Faulty tank pressure switch
Replace tank pressure switch.
System does not switch off
The consumer is still using water The system can only switch off
when the consumer is no longer
using water and the pressure tank
is full.
Faulty tank pressure switch
Replace tank pressure switch.
System does not produce
enough pure water
The consumer is using more
than the nominal throughput of
the reverse osmosis system
Replace the system with a more
powerful one.
The supply water is extremely
cold
Replace the system with a more
powerful one.
Faulty pressure pump
Replace pressure pump.
Clogged prefilter
Replace prefilter insert.
Reduced membrane throughput Replace membrane. If the mem
-
brane throughput has declined
dramatically over a short time (ap
-
prox. 6 months), the system should
be supplied with softened water, or
equipped with an upstream hard
-
ness stabilization filter.
System switches on regularly
although the consumer has not
taken any water
Faulty non-return valve
Replace non-return valve.
System switches on and off in
rapid succession (within a few
minutes)
Pressure tank valve is closed
Open pressure tank valve.
Faulty pressure tank
Replace pressure tank.
