5. CLEANING AIR CLEANER
A dirty air cleaner element will cause starting dif
fi
culty, power loss, engine malfunctions, and shorten engine life extremely.
Always keep the air cleaner element clean.

CAUTION
Never run the engine without an air cleaner, severe wear of the engine may occur.
A. Paper Element Type
Clean the element by blowing on it with compressed air from the inside or tapping
on it gently to remove dirt.
Change the paper element when doing this fails to remove the dirt.
