WINDSHIELD MOUNT ANTENNA INSTALLATION
A-PILLAR PANEL REMOVAL
1. Carefully pry the A-pillar trim panel away from the windshield
and cut-off the upper A-pillar trim clip using diagonal pliers.
(FIGURE J). Remove the A-pillar panel and set aside.
2. Slide a flat blade screwdriver underneath the vehicle’s airbag
and between the clip and the vehicle’s body. Twist the flat
blade screwdriver until you hear a click sound, indicating
the release of the lower side snap. (FIGURE K)
CAUTION!
Use care when performing this step to avoid damage
to the curtain airbag. If the airbag is damaged, it
must be replaced.
3. Slide the flatblade screwdriver further along the side of the
clip. Twist the flat blade screwdriver until you hear the
click sound, indicating the release of the upper side snap.
(FIGURE L)
CAUTION! Use care when performing this
step to avoid damage to the curtain airbag. If the
airbag is damaged, it must be replaced.
4. Remove the clip from the vehicle’s body (the clip will remove
easier if it is twisted while it is pulled). (FIGURE M)
5. Inspect the white protective (non-woven fabric) of the curtain
airbag. If the fabric is damaged, indicated by the visibility
of the pink airbag module cloth, the curtain airbag assembly
must be replaced.
