1. Introduction
Dear customer. Thank you for purchasing one of our products.
This product is manufactured to European directives and National regulations.
Relevant declarations and documents are deposited at the manufacturer to prove
conformity.
2. Safety note
The guarantee does not cover any faults or defects caused by accidents, misuse, fair wear
and tear, neglect, tampering with the equipment, or any attempt at adjustment or repair
other than that of approved agents. This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights.
Maintenance should only to be carried out by a qualified person.
This product is not a toy and is inappropriate for children.
Do not look directly in the LED radiation!
LED radiation should not be directed in the eyes by animals or persons.
3. Intended use
The battery box and the LED light are intended for indoor use and are not protected against rain. The solar panel is
intended for outdoor use. It is weatherproof and frost resistant. Mobile multimedia devices can be powered or recharged
using the integrated USB port. An adapter cable set for all popular mobile phones (e.g. iPhone 4 to 6, Samsung S2 to
S6+) is included. It is possible to operate up to three suitable LED lights using the three 6 V DC outputs. One of these
LED lights is included; additional LED lights are available separately (item 03106).
With a fully charged battery, one LED light can be operated for up to 20 hours.
4. Initial use
1. Remove all parts carefully from the packaging. Ensure that you have definitely removed all of the parts before
disposing of the packaging material in an environmentally friendly manner.
Always handle the solar panel with care.
Broken solar panels are not subject to warranty.
2. Place the solar panel in a sunny location. Ideally it should be placed facing southwards.
3. Lay the cables for the solar panel and the light carefully, ensuring that you do not create a tripping hazard.
Insert the connectors for all of the cables into the corresponding sockets in the battery box.
4. Press the switch on the battery box; the “battery” LED will light up.
If the battery is being charged by sunlight using the solar panel, the LED will blink.
5. If the battery has a low charge, the “battery” LED will light up (or blink) red. Once the battery has been charged
and the charge level has increased, the LED will light up (or blink) green again.
6. The LED light can be easily attached, for instance to a ceiling hook, using its hanger.
7. To extend the system, purchase one or two additional LED lights (item 03106).
5. Care, maintenance and malfunctions
Only clean the product with a damp cloth. If the system breaks down, check that the location of the solar panel receives
sufficient sunlight. It is only possible to charge the battery, and therefore operate the system, when there is direct sunlight
on the solar panel. On cloudy days the solar energy stored in the battery may no longer be sufficient to operate the
system.
The integrated lead AGM battery (6 V, 4 Ah) can be replaced if required. Remove the 4 screws on the front of the battery
box and replace it with a similar model. Reassemble in reverse order.
There is a fine-wire fuse inside the battery box to prevent subsequent damage to the electronic should there be a
technical fault with the system (e.g. overload or short circuit).
Once the cause of the fault has been remedied, remove the 4 screws on the front side of the battery box and replace the
fine-wire fuse with an identical model (F 3.15 A 250 V). Reassemble in reverse order.
