3.23 Signal Port
There are four signal output ports in front panel of instrument and twenty four signal ports in rear
panel (only 12 signal ports available on 2-channel model).
The ground of ‘Counter In 1’ and ‘Counter In 2’ ports is directly connected to the ground of the
case; The ground of the ‘10MHz In’ port is independent, absolutely isolating from ground of the
case and other signal ports. In addition to the above three signal terminals, other signal ports share
a signal ground, which is insulated isolated from the ground of the case. Therefore, the signal port
can be connected with the circuit of different reference potentials floatingly, but the voltage
between the signal ground and the case ground must not exceed 42Vpk, otherwise the instrument
may be damaged.
The output port of the instrument is strictly prohibited to be used as signal input port, otherwise, it
may cause damage to the instrument.
(1) Signal output port CH1, CH2, CH3 and CH4
(only CH1 and CH2 are available for
2-channel models): All are located in front panel and out signal from corresponding chann
el.
(2) Signal output port
《
Sync
》
:
It’s located in the rear panel (the 2-channel instrument is
located in the front panel) and output the sync signal.
Synchronous output signal is a pulse compatible TTL with rich higher harmonics. The syn
c out may interfere in the main signal and please turn off it when unneeded. The default
state of Sync output is Off when power on instrument.
(3) Modulation port
《
Mod in I
》
,
《
Mod in Q
》
:
They are located in the rear panel and
served as input port, external modulation signal is input from this port.
(4) Trigger port
《
Trig In /Out
》
:
It’s located in the rear panel and is an inout port. It s
erved as input port to input the external trigger signal when the trigger source is selected
to ‘External’.

soft key, if select positive polarity, the logic high level of the trigger sig
nal is taken as the number ‘1’ and the logic low level as the number ‘0’. If select negati
ve polarity, the logic high level of the trigger signal is taken as the number ‘0’ and the l
ogic low level as the number ‘1’.
