The Bevel Gear portion is designed for lower speeds and therefore has lower operating cycles when compared to the Cyclo® input assembly,
therefore in most cases, does not require rebuilding . Contact Sumitomo repair centers for replacement information .
The Cyclo® portion has significantly higher operating cycles than the Bevel Gear portion, rebuild and repair is a convenient way to extend the
useful life of your gearbox .
Cyclo® repairs should be conducted by experienced personal to prevent damage to components or persons .
Cyclo® Portion – General Disassembly

Before starting the disassembly process, Sumitomo recommends draining and properly disposing of all lubrication .

Carefully remove the entire Cyclo® BBB5 from the driven shaft by following the instructions outlined in the Removal From Driven Shaft section
of this manual .

While carefully supporting the entire unit, place the unit on a level work surface so that
the high speed portion (Cyclo® portion) is facing down .
