General
The T4 S Class models use a small USB camera instead of the OPOS sensor for registering the
OPOS marks. All normal OPOS procedures, as described above in this manual, can be used,
provided that the registering device is a camera. However, there are some small differences.
These differences are described in this section.

OPOS CAM
The camera option cannot function if it is not connected to the computer. If the cutting
software is not equipped with the possibility to process the data from the camera, then use
Summa Cutter Control to do this.
Most software simply places the marks and sends the cut data to the cutter. They do not
have the ability to process the camera data. Summa Cutter Control will then process the
camera data in order to determine the position of the printed marks.
Some software is fully automatic and places the marks, sends data to the cutter and
processes the camera data.
Please refer to the user’s manual that came with your software or contact your software
dealer for details.
The camera images need to be processed by a computer. This means that a cutter with
camera option needs a dedicated Windows computer. Only one cutter with camera option
can be connected to this computer. This connection also has to be a USB connection. The
camera images cannot be transferred to the computer through an Ethernet connection.
The utility to process the camera data is integrated in the program Cutter Control.
Therefore, Summa Cutter Control needs to be initiated before doing OPOS jobs with the
cutter. If the program Cutter Control detects a cutter where the camera option is connected
to the computer, it will start up the camera module, so it is ready when the cutter will send
images to the computer that need to be processed.
