C. If there is a whining or howling noise when the power
unit runs, it may be air in the hydraulic lines. Normal
running of the compactor for several strokes will usually
cause the air to be purged from the system. If the noise
persists, diagnose for other problems.
NOTE: The service, diagnosis, and repair items covered in this
manual are not exhaustive. If the routine suggestions contained
herein do not resolve problems with the compactor, then contact
competent service help for further diagnosis and repair. Do not
attempt service or repair work beyond the scope of your training and
experience.
