■
DHCP requires the server to reassign the client’s last address if available.
■
If the BOOTP or DHCP server is moved to a different domain, the network
portion of the address provided to the client is based on this new domain.

In the following example, the device is reassigned the same address.

You can use this command to specify the DCHP client identifier for the switch. Use
the
no
form to remove this identifier.
Note –
The client identifier is overwritten by the SC the next time the system, or the
switch itself, is rebooted. The client-identifier command will be removed from the
next firmware release.
