When the lid is opened, the air inside the appliance becomes slightly warmer and expands. When the lid is
closed again, the air is cooled quickly and contracts. This may lead to the creation of a vacuum which
makes it more difficult to open the lid again immediately. This is quite normal. Wait for a few moments
until the vacuum has equalized and then open gently.
Loading Appliance
Since cooling occurs only in good sun conditions, it is best to insert warmer product in the morning.

HINTS & TIPS
Normal Operating Sounds
•
You may hear faint gurgling or bubbling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the refrigerant
coils.
•
When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped around and you will hear a whirring sound or
pulsating noise from the compressor.
Peak Performance Tips
•
Do not install the appliance close to sources of heat, such as a stove, boiler, heater, chimney, etc, and avoid
exposure of the appliance to direct sunlight.
•
Locate the appliance in a cool well-ventilated room and make sure that the air vents of the compressor
housing cover are not obstructed. Also allow adequate spacing around the cabinet for air circulation (3in.
or 7.5cm)
•
Do NOT add external insulation to the sides or bottom of the cabinet, as this will severely hinder the
condenser performance
•
Avoid keeping the lid open for extended periods of time or opening the lid too frequently as warm air will
enter the cabinet and cause the compressor to run unnecessarily often.
