Handling
Fold the module only at the provided points between the solar cells.
Do not buckle or bend the solar panels in tight radii and/or over edges.
Protect the solar panels from sharp corners, points and edges.
Please do not wash the solar panels in the mashine, do not have them chemically cleaned and do not
place them in laundry dryers.
The SUNLOAD solar panels are water and rain resistant in the plastic laminate area. Protect the electric
plug and socket connectors from wetness.
After a longer period of storage CIGS solar panels have to place into the sun for some hours until they
reach their maximum effectivity.
SUNLOAD solar panels are not designed for permanent exposure to the elements. Please also observe
the manufacturer´s instructions for the devices or batteries with which you operate the SUNLOAD solar
panels. If you are uncertain, contact SUNLOAD customer service
Not suitable for salt water conditions. Only for short time use.
Basically the SUNLOAD solar panels are walkable. But be carefull with dirt under your shoes, the
protection layer of the solar panal could be damaged.
Use
Charge electronic devices
In order to charge or operate electronic devices, such as the MP3-Player, organizer, mobile telephone or note-
book, preferably use the specially developed Sunload MultECon Chargers. These provide suitable voltages. If
you want to connect the miniature electronic devices directly to the solar panel or to a solar charging controller,
please observe especially the increased open circuit voltage of the solar panel. The high open circuit voltage
of the solar panels could result in the device´s destruction. In any case, read the technical instructions of your
device.
Charging the 12V motor vehicle or lead batteries
Generally the electrical data of the solar panels enables the charging of 12 V vehicle and/or lead-acid batteries
directly via the battery terminals or the charging plug available as an accessory. As there are various battery
types with specific charging requirements, ask the battery manufacturer in the first place, whether charging with
a solar panel is permissible. In any case we recommend to use a solar charge controller suitable for your battery
type.
SUNLOAD solar panels with 6,5Wp and 12Wp have an integrated voltage limiter so you can not overcharge
your lead-acid battery. These panels are especially suitable to safe your car battery in winter time from deep
discharge.
