Function Keys for (SR-1370/1770/1830/1860/1890/1930/1960/1990) 
 
Press this key to choose to boil water, make porridge, slow cooking for 35 minutes and 
slow cooking for 65 minutes. 
 

• 

The cooking pot must be in flat surface or this function may not work on the 
cooktop. 

• 

Do not use too little water or the water will dry out before the heating temperature 
of the cooking pot and the ceramic plate balance out. Do not use too much water, 
water must be 1.2 inches below the top edge of the pot or the water will over flow 
when it is boiled. 

• 

When this function is selected, it will start to cook after 10 seconds. During this 
operation, other functions will not be able to operate besides the off function. 
When the job is finished or the pot is lift from the cooktop, the cooktop will make 
10 beeps then automatically shuts off. 

• 

If the cooking pot is not suitable for the cooktop, the water will not boil. 
Therefore, this function key will flashes and the cooktop shuts off. 

 

Boil Water 

 
When boiling the water, we recommend using cover so it will take less time to boil. 
 

Make Porridge  

 
This function can work with 1 cup of rice and 7 cups of water or 2 cups of rice and 14 
cups of water. When cooking with 1 cup of rice, do not use cover. When cooking 
with 2 cups of rice, cover is needed. 
 

Slow Cooking 

 
When slow cook function is selected, the LED will show “35”. The cook time is set 
for 35 minutes. Press the same button once more, the LED will show “65”. When this 
function starts, the LED will show that the time is decrease from the selected time. 
Must use cover to cook when using this function. 
 

Safety Protection 

 
Use at least 3.2 inches or above in diameter cook wares on the cooktop.  The reason 
for this is so that utensils in the pot will not heat and cause danger. 
 
If utensils are on the cooktop, the “keep Warm” light will blink and the unit will turn 
off after 10 minutes.
