ATTACHING AND ALIGNING THE BACK
SHELL
(Fig.11, 12, 13).
a. Using the 10mm wrench, loosen but do not remove
the Mounting Pin Screws (B) and Bracket Nuts (C).
b. Attach the J3 Carbon Back to the Mounting hardware
by inserting the Receiver Pins into the Receivers,
(Fig.12).
c. Adjust the back to your desired position, (Fig.13), depth,
tilt and height and then hand tighten Screws (B) and
Nuts (C).
NOTE:
Back depth and angle may require additional
adjustment to ensure proper fit to the user.
d. Test back release by pressing the release levers
forward and removing the back off the chair. (See
Removal and Replacement section for further
details.) Proper alignment of the mounting hardware
and back is achieved when smooth attachment and
release can be easily done.
g. If proper alignment has not been achieved, adjust
the components until properly aligned.
h. Once properly aligned, tighten all hardware.
NOTE:
Tighten all nuts and screws only when the back is
properly aligned:
Recommended torque specifications:
Screws (A) & (B): 11.3 – 12.4 Nm
Nuts (C): 8.5 – 9.3 Nm
