11.0 Footboard
The Delphin wheelchair can be shortened considerably
by folding the footboard into the frame. In addition it
makes it easier to transfer to/from the chair
-> To fold in the footboard, grasp the tube and pull it
upward (Fig. 11.1).
Lower leg lengths
By undoing the clamp screw (1) (Fig. 11.2), you can
adjust the lower leg length. Loosen the clamp screw and
adjust the footboard to the desired position.
Tighten clamp screws again (3 Nm).

WARNING!
Do not stand on the footplate during transfer. The chair
is likely to tip to the front when standing on the footplate.
Always place your feet securely on the ground for
transferring into or out of the chair.
The footrests are not designed to be used to lift or carry
the wheelchairs with an occupant.
A minimum interval of 25mm from the ground should
always be maintained.
12.0 Armrests
The arm rest can be
flipped up to the rear if you
require more freedom of
movement while washing
or if you wish to change
over wheelchairs.
WARNING!
Finger trap – do not touch the armrest receiver when
operating the armrest up or down.
13.0 Seat
The seat can be removed e.g. for cleaning. To do this,
grab the seat in the front and the rear and pull it upward.
The seat can be attached by pressing it on the frame until
all 6 clips snap in.
Attention!
Always make sure that the seat is attached correctly to
the frame and all clips are snapped in correctly.
WARNING
Finger trap – do not grab under the seat when pressing it
down
Removing the insert cushion
Before using the toilet the insert cushion must be
removed. To do this, pull the insert cushion upwards.
To bring it back into position just place it back into the
opening.
14.0 Toilet bucket
The DELPHIN can accept a toilet bucket when used as a
toilet wheelchair.
- Slide the plastic bucket from the rear into the U-rails
provided for this purpose under the seat.
- Make sure that the bucket is correctly locked into the
U-rails.
Attention:
After each use the toilet bucket and the seat must be
cleaned and disinfected.
