Procedure 10 - Anti-tips

An anti tip can be used to make the chair more stable and is recommended by a health care professional.

10.1: Swing away anti-tip

To store the anti-tip, push down on the spring-loaded tube

until it releases from the housing. Swing 180 degrees under

the chair and into the locked position. To return to the

operating position, repeat and return the same way. To adjust

the length, press the button on the tube and lengthen or

shorter the wheel tube.

10.2: Single sport anti-tip

To remove anti-tip, remove quick release pin and remove

tube. The clamp attached to the frame is factory fitted

and cannot removed unless by an approved wheelchair

technician.

WARNING:

RGK strongly recommends ordering the anti-tips as an

additional safeguard for the wheelchair user.

WARNING:

Anti-tippers MUST be fully engaged. Ensure the release

button of the anti-tipper fully protrudes out of the hole in

the anti-tipper socket.

Ensure both anti-tippers are adjusted to the same height.
